Questions – Answers

What external fees should be expected?

Notary fees amount to CHF 590, payable directly to our notary via their online platform.
Registration fees with the Commercial Register (usually between CHF 600 and CHF 1,000) are payable directly to the relevant cantonal office after your company is published.

Can I create a SA alone?

Yes, a SA can be founded by a single individual or legal entity, but at least one director must be domiciled in Switzerland.

Do I need to open a bank account before registration?

Yes. The integrated UBS option on the notary’s platform allows you to automatically create an escrow account and then a business account.

Can I use a contribution in kind?

Yes, but a foundation report must then be established and verified by an accredited auditor.
